4 (More) Attributes of Your Next Content Marketing Star

Editor's Note: Today's post comes courtesy of Michael Gerard, CMO of Curata. He is responsible for Curata's marketing strategy and all related activities. Michael has more than 25 years of marketing and sales experience, having successfully launched and sustained three start-up ventures, as well as driving innovative customer creation strategies for large technology organizations (IDC, Kenan Systems, Prospero (mZinga) and Millipore). Today's post is the second in a two-part series highlighting effective attributes of content marketers. You can read part one here.

Content marketing is becoming vitally important to every business as a means to engage buyers early on in the purchasing process. However, not just anyone can do content marketing - it takes someone who possesses a broad skillset to become a content marketing superstar. Here are 4 more important characteristics to look for in your next content marketing superstar - or, if you're lucky enough to have a team, these are the skills they should have.

1.  Creative Writing Talent- Good spelling, punctuation and grammar can make or break your content marketing efforts.  Attention-grabbing titles draw in your readers, enticing them to read content. Getting readers to view a post and click for more information is a valuable skill in the world of content marketing.  A good storyteller doesn't just market. Anyone can say, "We give our customers personal attention", but it takes a special marketer to tell the story without saying that. Precision is key when it comes to online marketing, where every word and every sentence counts. It requires clear purpose to keep each aspect of the content precise.

2.  Basic Coding & SEO Knowledge- Thanks to the evolution of technology, it's easier than ever to do more on the front end of websites. Having some basic HTML know-how can enhance your content tremendously. For example, basic HTML was used to develop this quiz as a blog post: What’s Your Content Marketing Animal Spirit? While content quality reigns supreme, SEO is a powerful tool and should be used to your advantage.

3.  Industry, Product & Customer Knowledge- Marketers should work with other departments of the company to ensure they know what they're writing about. Interacting with other parts of the organization also opens up opportunities to source ideas and content from internal experts. (i.e., crowdsourcing) They should also attend industry events (online and in-person) and set up Google Alerts to stay up to speed on what's happening in their industry.

Probably the most valuable aspect of all is knowing your customer, and understanding how they think, feel and act. It starts with knowing what your audience wants to learn, what they already know, how they search for your content, and what places they most frequent online. Your content marketing efforts should be based on those questions.

4.  Resourcefulness- Within content marketing, there is so much to do, and not enough money to do it all - never mind time. However, a resourceful marketer knows how to get around these issues. Superstar marketers know that there will be obstacles from time to time, but that never stops them from creating quality content. Instead, they are solution-minded individuals who keep looking for new and innovative solutions. For example, they tap into the power of curated content from independent sources to complement their own created content.  This better leverages resources and adds value to the audience. The best marketers use a content marketing mix of 65% created and 25% curated content.

10 Marketing Tools To Be Thankful For

Marketing is evolving in many exciting ways. It’s challenging to navigate the changing implications of digital and data, but these changes also have ushered in a variety of strategic and tactical measures to improve efficiency.

To mark the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday this week, we’ve revisited previous posts to pay homage to the tools that keep us marketers aligned, integrated, and centered on our customers.

Here’s our ‘Ode to Integrated Marketing’, a cornucopia of 10 marketing tools we’re thankful for:

1. Customer Community Networks- Forums that connect you to your core audiences are multi-faceted awesome. Thanks to our Topliners community, we’re able to keep in close touch with our customers, engage in conversations that help us understand their needs, as well as how we can enhance what we do to serve them better.

2. Collaborative environments- Truly integrated marketing hinges on the ability to stay aligned with our teams, sync up efforts, and share best practices to keep the right processes in motion. So we salute tools like instant messenger/chat, webinar hosting platforms, and live video tools that enable us to connect with customers, and the key players to keep business in motion across the globe.

3. Visual creation tools- Content increasingly drives our marketing communications, so tools that allow us to build out infographics for presentations help deliver a better demo experience, and can serve other educational purposes to better engage with our audiences.

4. Recording applications- The massive outpouring of media impressions, social postings, phone calls, emails, chats, and links we consume every day can be overwhelming. There is so much important information to sift through, and apps that help record audio, video, and/or notes enable us to store and manage the consumption and delivery of content.

5. Data applications- Smart, helpful marketing starts with the right data set, properly organized and prioritized for the marketer. Earlier this year we announced our acquisition of BlueKai to help our customers build the richest user profiles combining information from first party and third party sources. Getting the message right across advertising, social, and mobile channels is a communication imperative.

6. GPS Enabled devices- Once relegated to the phantom ‘wish list’ for marketers, it’s great to now have the opportunity to know what’s up, who’s nearby, and how you can capitalize on the location of your audiences to deliver value.

7. Keyword Management- SEO and PPC strategies are critical to smart online marketing. Google’s Keyword Planner enables marketers to examine keywords for both SEO and PPC efforts to develop the appropriate strategies.

8. Content management systems- This past year our organization has been focused on integrating content marketing management into our product ecosystem since the acquisition of Compendium. CMS platforms support marketers’ ability to collaboratively manage content being shared across various channels, and organize performance data for more efficient analysis.

9. Design software- Because content is so important, the creative team/agency also has become an integral part of the marketing team. Whether you’re outsourcing your content creation, making the magic happen in-house, and/or a hybrid of both, design software is a core component in delivering engaging marketing content.

10. The Cloud- Big things are happening thanks to cloud-based technologies. The Cloud enables us to build a customer-obsessed marketing culture by truly knowing the customer, deploying always-on multichannel marketing, and enabling data driven accountability.

Most of all, we’re thankful for the vibrant community of modern marketers who we learn from every day!

Tell us what you’re most thankful for in the comments!

Helpful Tips For Getting Rid Of Pests

When you are in a building, you rarely think of the creatures scuttling around you. When you do notice them, it's time to get rid of them! This article will detail all sorts of tips and tricks to help you empty your building of the nasty things which go bump in the night. Squirrel Removal NJ - Pest Control NJ

You cannot afford to waste any time once you find out your home is infested. Put your valuable belongings in safe places and call an exterminator as soon as possible. If the exterminator you called cannot come to your home within the next couple of days, keep looking for another available professional.

Do not forget about getting your home tested for pests before buying. You might be able to spot some signs of pest damage, but it is hard to recognize which type of pest you are dealing with until you actually spot some bugs or rodents into the home. Squirrel Removal NJ - Pest Control NJ

Do not assume that pests are completely gone just because you have not seen any. If your exterminator wants to come back for a follow-up, you should follow their advice. There is a good chance that there is still a small population in your home that could have come from eggs, so listen to the professional and stick to the follow-up appointment.

Do not leave any food out or unsealed and make sure that you clean up any crumbs or food scraps. Bugs, especially roaches love to get into food scraps that have been left out. Put used food in a tightly sealed container or in a baggie that bugs cannot break into. Squirrel Removal NJ - Pest Control NJ

Bedbugs can be very difficult to get rid of because they have a tendency to hide. All holes should be sealed before beginning any type of extermination. This will help you to be sure that the bugs won't pop out of the holes after you try and exterminate them.

Stink bugs are persistent pests, so focus on your outdoor area to help eradicate the problem. Keep your bushes trimmed and make sure that firewood is stored well away from your home. Thirty feet from the dwelling is appropriate, if you have the space. In addition, the firewood needs to be kept just off the ground (about six inches).

Don't leave leaks in the water system unattended. Pests love water. They are able to sense drips from far away. Don't allow pests to invade your home because of a leak you can easily fix. Inspect your plumbing regularly and contact a professional if you notice a leak or need help with inspecting the plumbing that is not easily accessible.

If nothing you are doing is working, call a professional. There are trained professionals that you can use to help get rid of the bugs that are in your house already or prevent new ones from entering your home in the future. This could be the best investment that you ever make for your home.

With your building empty of creatures you don't wish living there, you'll find it's far more enjoyable to be within. Everyone you know will be pleased with the results. Just use the tips from this article and you should have your building cleared out in a short matter of time. Squirrel Removal NJ - Pest Control NJ

Are You Seeking Information About Pest Control? Then Check Out These Great Tips!

There are many types of creeping, crawling and slithering pests. Nobody wants any of them in their home, or even near their home. There are many choices of pest control products on the market, and nearly as many ideas about how to protect yourself from unwanted visitors. Use the tips in this article to keep the nasty pests away. Bed Bug Removal NJ - Pest Control NJ

Do you see fruit flies returning after ridding your home of them? You may find that they are residing within your drains. Source which drain is of particular concern for the fruit flies and place a piece of plastic wrap over it to see if they appear there. If they do have fruit flies, pour boiling water down the drain to destroy them. This should eradicate the fruit fly problem.

If you're a pet owner, your pets may be the reason pests keep coming back. Take the time to keep your pet's food bowls clean. If any water from their dish is spilled, wipe it up immediately. Store pet food in plastic containers rather than the paper bags they come in. All these things can attract bugs. Bed Bug Removal NJ - Pest Control NJ

If you want to avoid attracting small rodents, bugs and other pests, you want to be careful what you leave sitting around. Make sure that food is put away into containers and stored properly. Also make sure that crumbs are cleaned up and garbage is put away. A lack of attraction will surely keep those pests away.

Spray white vinegar in areas where you have seen an Ant trail. This acidic substance helps to erase the pheromones that ants use to guide one another to food. This solution will not rid you of your ant problem on its own, but it can keep them at bay while you apply pesticides or take other measures.

Avoid using pesticides that you can purchase in a grocery store. These are usually extremely potent to humans, but do little to get rid of the pest problem. They also require a lot of preparation and clean-up. If you choose to use chemicals to rid your home of pests you will likely find more success using a professional. If your camper is stored in the winter months, it may become home to mice. There are natural repellents which are very effective at discouraging the unwanted guests. The little repellant bags smell good and aren't poisonous, but they prevent mice from getting inside campers and RVs.

Pests love hanging out in drains. Be sure to clean them each month. Do this by snaking the drain or using drain cleaner and flushing the drain. Humidity and debris can cause mold to grow, and this environment is perfect for pests.

Rid Your Property Of Pesky Pests With These Tips And Ideas

Keep the advice that follows close at hand, and you will have everything you need to get the job done the right way. Pest Control NJ Reviews - Pest Control NJ

If you are concerned that you have bed bugs, do not try to remove your mattress from your home. Dragging it through the house is likely to spread the infestation. Instead, keep everything stored in that one location. You can add a "bed bug cover" to the mattress to try and contain the problem, although you will need to be seen by a pest control specialist.

Make sure that you do not have any candy lying around the area of your home. Candy is made of sugar, which can attract a wide assortment of bugs. Do you have ants in your home? Get rid of these insects by mixing some borax and sugar. Pour this concoction on your doorstep and all around your home. If you know where the ants come from, pour a generous quantity of borax and sugar in these areas. The ants will be drawn by the sugar but the borax will kill them.

Make sure your home's roof and water sills are draining properly. Standing water can lead to pests. If you've got puddles forming that just won't go away, look to the root cause and fix it. Sometimes it's as easy as cleaning out a gutter. Otherwise, you may get more unwanted visitors than you bargained for. Pest Control NJ Reviews - Pest Control NJ

Many people have pest control problems and do not know what to do. If you have tried eliminating the pests yourself and cannot get rid of them, try hiring a professional to get rid of them for you. Many pests carry diseases that can be harmful to you and your family, so protect them by hiring an outside company to control this problem for you.

If you believe you have bed bugs, you can help control the population by washing your clothes. However, you have to be careful when doing so. Put all of your clothing into a plastic bag. Seal it up to take it to the laundry room. Wash it all in the hottest water possible and then dry it on high heat. Remember that it is very hard to eradicate bed bugs on your own, so call around and see if a company will do a free inspection for you.

Household pests can be a terribly vexing dilemma and conquering them can prove to be a real challenge. The key is to learn all you can about effective strategies and methods. Just remember the advice found above, and you will be well prepared to do battle and win the war on pests in decisive fashion. Pest Control NJ Reviews - Pest Control NJ

Retail Holiday Shopping Trends Highlighted in Two New Research Reports

Don’t tell anyone but in a few days it will be Thanksgiving and the day after that, Friday, has become to be known as Black Friday for apparently there’s a whole lot of sales that go on this day. Obviously the entire world, essentially, knows that this is the time of year where people have visions of sales, savings and discounts dancing in their heads as they plow through their holiday shopping list.

This year, we’re pleased as punch (yes pleased as punch) to provide you with not one, but two research reports on the topic of holiday shopping and consumers and all that good stuff. In fact, one of the two papers is Part 1 of a two-part paper.

The first report is the Oracle Pulse Report: The Who, What and Chatter of Holiday Electronics Shoppers. In short, the report takes the Pulse of what online shoppers look like for the 2014 holiday season, products they want to buy and preferred brands by examining a popular retail category: consumer electronics.

There are some great visuals in the paper to help visualize these concepts and trends:
Download your copy of the report today.

The second report is entitled: Holiday Research 2014 Part 1: Unwrapping Shopper Plans. This report, which was done in partnership with Edison Research, looks at, well better yet, read this verbatim from the Abstract:

In the fall of 2014, Oracle Marketing Cloud and Edison Research began a multi-phase study to examine the habits of holiday shoppers. Unlike previous, snapshot studies of consumer intent or self-reported behavior, this project involves both quantitative and qualitative studies of the same sample of consumers during two distinct time periods: October, when consumers are generally in the planning stages, and mid-December, when consumers have either largely finished or are still actively engaged in holiday shopping.

Translation: This will be unlike other studies that ONLY look at shoppers’ intent before the holidays. It will also look at what actually occurred and then explore the reasons why intent did not match reality.

Part 1 analyzes purchase intent. Here’s a taste of the insights you will see:

  • On the average, the amount of money shoppers plan to spend this year is slightly higher than what they reported spending last year.
  • Compared to last year, men plan to spend more while women plan to spend less on aver- age.
  • Most shoppers who plan to spend more cite “more people to buy presents for” as the top reason, while those who intend to spend less would do so mainly because of a change in their financial situation.

Pest Control Tips Which Never Fail You

If you have insects in your home, then you don't want to hesitate on calling a pest control service to eliminate them before things get worse. The problem is, there are so many pest control services that it can be hard to find one that will get the job done. Here is some advice that will help you choose the right pest control service. Pest Control NJ is what we do.

Use hairspray to kill cockroaches. If you ever have a cockroach in your home and don't have any bug killer on hand, try using an aerosol hairspray. It allows you to keep a significant distance between yourself and the roach, while being an effective means of suffocating and killing it. Pest Control NJ is what we pride ourselves in.

If you notice that there are mice lurking around the house, set up a mouse trap. Peanut butter is the best thing that you can use to lure the mice in, as this will help to catch them. Try to place many of these around the house to increase your chances of catching it. Pest Control NJ.

Keep your home as clean as possible. Even though this will not keep pests away, you at least will not be giving them an incentive to stick around. Many pests can smell food from a good distance away. If you want to do whatever you can to reduce your pest problem you should be diligent in keeping your house tidy.

Begin where it started. If you have a pest problem, eliminate their food source. If your home provides easy access to food and shelter, pests will invade. Get rid of anything the might be attracting the pests.

You can prevent most pest infestations by keeping your home clean. Do not leave any food scrapes on your table or in the kitchen sink and make sure you tightly seal garbage bags. Get rid of your garbage on a regular basis and do not hesitate to store garbage bags in your garage until you can get rid of them. Pest Control NJ

Pest Control

Don't wait for a pest control problem to become an infestation; call a professional or take action on your own immediately. You might think that just because you've only seen one or two or that you don't see them often there isn't a big problem. Do something fast or you can expect big problems later.

Try a do-it-yourself spray. If you can't afford to have a professional service come out to spray your home for pest prevention, try any of the number of pest control sprays available at local hardware and box stores. Most come in easy-to-use bottles with trigger spray nozzles that allow you to spray around the foundation and windows of your home, both inside and out.

If you are apprehensive about using chemical pest control in your home, try traps instead. Physical traps work to attract the pest and then trap it. Some work like traditional mouse traps that snap closed and kill the pest, while others involve a sticky sheet that adheres the pest to the sheet so you can remove it from your home.

If you live on a farm and have a problem with mice, or even rats, consider getting a couple outdoor cats to provide natural pest control. Make sure the cats have not been declawed, and have access to every part of the outdoor buildings. Make sure to provide food and water to the cats because they will still catch mice even if they are not hungry.

As stated before, you shouldn't hesitate on choosing pest control services. Keeping that in mind, you should also think carefully about the service you choose to enter your home. Make the wise decision by using the advice from this article. You'll be glad you did when your home is pest free. Pest Control NJ.

The Best Pest Control Tips And Tricks

Finding rodents or insects that do not belong in the home can be quite traumatic to many homeowners. It is what you do next that will make a difference in how long these pests remain a problem. Keep reading to get some advice about how to get rid of them for good.

Ask any professional you hire for references. Just because they have an ad in your yellow pages does not mean that they do good business. They only way to be sure that you are going to get your money's worth is to verify that their other customers are satisfied with their work. Raccoon Removal NJ - NJPest.org - Pest Control New Jersey

Ask your exterminator to use the most effective methods first. Many exterminators assume that you rather give the less potent methods a try first, in order to save money, but they very rarely work. You might as well just use the most effective method so that it is done and over with.

Keep your home as clean as possible. Even though this will not keep pests away, you at least will not be giving them an incentive to stick around. Many pests can smell food from a good distance away. If you want to do whatever you can to reduce your pest problem you should be diligent in keeping your house tidy.

When you're not using your food, be sure it's sealed properly. The scent that comes from your food can attract all different types of pests. You don't need to provide pests with something they like. To help combat a pest infestation, take out the garbage as soon as it is full. Trash is yet another source of alluring smells for the pests and should be avoided at all costs.

Be preventative, not just reactive. Yes, you need to kill whatever pests you have in your home, but be sure to also treat how the problem began in the first place! Is there a crack in your flooring that brought pests in? Get it fixed. Is there a habit that food is left out? Change the practice. This will keep these pests from coming back again and again. Raccoon Removal NJ - NJPest.org - Pest Control New Jersey

Remove full garbage from the home immediately. Garbage left sitting around for too long is one of the main reasons for pest invasions into a home. The minute your garbage is full (or even if it isn't but it's been out for awhile), remove it from your living area and place it in the proper receptacle for pick up.

If you have any leaky pipes or anything that drips water, make sure that you get them repaired. Leaving water around is a good way of keeping pests in your home. They will not want to leave because you are giving them a way to get the water that they need.

The advice that you have just read will help you reclaim your home from those pesky pests. You no longer have to look the other way while the mice steal your food and the ants dirty your counters. Use them wisely as you get rid of the pests in your home forever. Raccoon Removal NJ - NJPest.org - Pest Control New Jersey - Call (973) 388-9126 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7tnJ8jeeM4

Ideas For An Easy To Implement Pest Control Plan

Pests are very problematic. They can carry dangerous germs as well as cause expensive damage to the home. If pests are an issue for you, solve the problem quickly. Use the advice offered here to help you better understand your pests and how to get rid of them.

Make sure that you do not have any candy lying around the area of your home. Candy is made of sugar, which can attract a wide assortment of bugs. Therefore, the best thing that you can do is eat in the kitchen and make sure that candy does not get into other areas of the house. BEST BED BUG REMOVAL NJ - EXTERMINATOR NJ CALL

If you are dealing with a stink bug invasion, try to minimize your use of outdoor lights. These pests are drawn to the brightness, so they will move closer to your house when the lights are on, giving them more opportunities to find their way in. Furthermore, draw your blinds in the evening so the light from inside your home does not attract them.

Check to see that all of your food is airtight and sealed efficiently. If food is not sealed properly, it will give off an odor, which will attract a wide range of insects. This could lead to an infestation, which can cost you a lot of time and money in the long run. BEST BED BUG REMOVAL NJ - EXTERMINATOR NJ CALL

Try sprinkling borax around your home to keep insects out. Borax is a chemical that can dry insects out internally, thus killing them. The great thing is that it is not harmful to humans or pets in small amounts. If you are sick of insects in your home give this trick a try.

It is very important to determine the entry point of pests and bugs. For instance, your window may have a tiny gap that allows spiders in or your pets may bring outdoor bugs in. When you know where the insects are coming from, you can stop them from entering.

Keep your home clean. Food is the most common cause of pests infesting the home.
It basically lures them inside. Be sure to clean the counter tops and floors and clear out any food debris after eating and cooking. Keeping your surfaces clean can help prevent pests from entering your home.

If you need help with getting rid of your pest, give a call to the National Pesticide Information Center. You will be able to ask your questions about pesticides and learn how to use these products safely and efficiently. You should also ask about alternatives you can use against pest. BEST BED BUG REMOVAL NJ - EXTERMINATOR NJ CALL

Eliminate wasp nests or bee hives during nighttime. Spray foams that can be purchased at a hardware store can be used to get rid of such insects. The foams typically reach a long distance and are safe to use when the directions are followed. You should aim to spray a beehive during the nighttime because this is the time that bees aren't very active. Once you do this, monitor the hive a few days, and if necessary, respray it. When you're sure all the bees are gone, then you can take the hive down.

Now you know that you have a variety of alternatives for treating a variety of pests. Keep the advice from this article in mind to help control pests. Don't wait to get help, if you need it. No matter how you decide to get rid of your pest problem, the important thing is that you do something. BEST BED BUG REMOVAL NJ - EXTERMINATOR NJ CALL

4 Attributes of Your Next Content Marketing Superstar

Editor's Note: Today's post comes courtesy of Michael Gerard, CMO of Curata. He is responsible for Curata's marketing strategy and all related activities. Michael has more than 25 years of marketing and sales experience, having successfully launched and sustained three start-up ventures, as well as driving innovative customer creation strategies for large technology organizations. (e.g., IDC, Kenan Systems, Prospero (mZinga) and Millipore). Today's post is the first in a two-part series highlighting effective attributes of content marketers.

Content marketing is becoming vitally important to every business as a means to engage buyers early on in the purchasing process. However, not just anyone can do content marketing - it takes someone who possesses a broad skillset to become a content marketing superstar. Here are 4 important characteristics to look for in your next content marketing superstar - or, if you're lucky enough to have a team, these are some of the skills they should have.

1. Strategic Thinker- Research has shown that more than half of all business-to-business marketers don't have a strategy. That means that they don't have a plan to produce cohesive content that their target audiences can act upon. A superstar content marketer should have a strategy consisting of goals for their content production, including:

●increasing traffic, brand awareness and lead generation

●educating the audience on product benefits or the industry

●improving SEO and customer service

●building trust, loyalty, and credibility amongst customers

In addition, content marketing metrics should accompany each goal in order to measure its success and drive continuous improvement.

2.  Process-Focused- The process should be mapped out across the content supply chain. Starting with workflow through to publishing, promotion and finally, analytics. Within the process, you should have:

●defined roles with responsibilities for team members

●a logical flow for each piece of content

●an editorial calendar which tracks content stages (editorial calendar templates)

Someone who is process-focused and passionate about analyzing results makes a great content marketer.

In addition, the ability to contribute your insights and recommend changes will be an important attribute for the content marketing superstar of the future. He or she will measure the impact of their content, and evaluate ways in which they can improve their return on investment.

3.  Design Skills- Since the brain processes visuals much faster than text, it is crucial to communicate with your audience using video or still images. Most people are visual learners, and that's why eye-catching graphics and infographics are a powerful means of communicating with your audience. The ability to create beautiful designs should play a pivotal role when you're hiring a content marketing superstar.

Also, video marketing skills are increasing in importance for content marketers. With more than 3 Billion video views on YouTube every day, uploading videos to your company channel can greatly enhance exposure to your audience. For that reason, your content marketer should also be able to repurpose blog posts or other media to create and edit video content.

4.  Social Media Marketing Skills- Promotion is often the missing ingredient when it comes to content marketing. There's more to SMM than just posting tweets or Facebook updates, and a superstar content marketer knows that. They also know:

●on which social networks target audiences can be found;

●when the best time is to post to the right platform for maximum exposure; and

●how to amplify content across networks to reach a wider audience.

A superstar content marketer knows how to establish meaningful relationships with the industry's key influencers, who will share the content to help expand their reach.

Stay tuned for part two of this post with 4 more attributes of your next content marketing superstar, and learn more about content marketing traits crucial to success from Curata’s infographic here.

Some Solid Advice To Help With Pest Control

What things have you tried to get rid of pests where you live? Seriously consider implementing some of the suggestions found in this article. There are many methods that you can use to give yourself a pest-free home. Keep reading for the information you need. How To Get Rid Of Squirrels | Squirrel Removal

Do you have a problem with fruit flies? You can get rid of them with a little apple cider vinegar! Pour some vinegar into the bottom of a tall glass. Add a little bit of dish soap. The fruit flies will swim into the glass, but won't be able to swim out, and will drown.

You cannot afford to waste any time once you find out your home is infested. Put your valuable belongings in safe places and call an exterminator as soon as possible. If the exterminator you called cannot come to your home within the next couple of days, keep looking for another available professional.

Having mice in your home can be a real turn off, not mentioning they carry diseases. In order to exterminate mice in a family-friendly way, use disposable mouse traps. Line the mouse traps with peanut butter to attract mice. After the mouse takes the bait, the mouse trap should slam shut, and you can safely dispose. How To Get Rid Of Squirrels | Squirrel Removal

Do not leave any food out or unsealed and make sure that you clean up any crumbs or food scraps. Bugs, especially roaches love to get into food scraps that have been left out. Put used food in a tightly sealed container or in a baggie that bugs cannot break into.

Make sure that when you install your windows, they come equipped with screens for protection. Screens can serve as a very strong line of defense for bugs, as most will not get into your home if you have a good screen up. This small investment can save a lot of trouble in the future.

Keep sweet smelling food products in sealed containers or in the fridge. Sweet foods can easily attract a vast variety of pests, from rodents to ants. If you do not have enough containers to seal your sugar, cereal and breads you should invest in them. It will cost you a lot less than paying an exterminator.

Use mint to keep mice away from your home. Plan mint around the perimeter of your house. This will cause mice to move elsewhere. Mint leaves are a great way to make mice living in your home think twice. While this will usually do, make sure you also use the freshest mint leaves.

Termites can be a major problem for any homeowner; they can eat away at your house. One way to prevent them from getting in is by using sealant in your basement. This is a prime spot for them to enter. The best part is that sealant is not expensive and is easy to put on yourself.

How Video Drove a 50% Increase in Form Submissions for Oracle Marketing Cloud [Case Study]

You may have “met” our friend, “Modern Mark.”

The team at Oracle Marketing Cloud conceptualized the character to support a recent program called the ‘Journey to Modern Marketing’ campaign, which included a variety of content tactics, including high-value gated eBooks, videos, blog, and social posts.

The program started with a research study conducted in tandem with BtoB Magazine to learn about the modern marketer—from our audience’s perspective.

The study uncovered five attributes or competencies that comprise the modern marketer: Targeting, Engagement, Conversion, Analysis, and Technology. We used these points, what we refer to as The 5 Tenets of Modern Marketing, as a springboard for the integrated content campaign that ultimately spanned all our digital channels.

Video as the Star
The guides, social components, and promotion for the blog lived on a landing page where an ungated video was used to engage visitors and support the educational assets.

The story of “Modern Mark’s Journey to Modern Marketing” was packaged into six videos in total: Five covering a tenet each and one trailer video, which was shared via social media and our blog to tease the upcoming content. Each of the videos supported the messaging of the guides created around the Modern Marketing theme in an engaging, entertaining way.

As a feature component in our multi-channel campaign, video helped to drive interest and awareness to our 5 Tenets collateral. This resulted in a 120% increase in engagement and an 85% increase in attribution to the creation of MQLs. We ultimately saw a 50% increase in form submissions in the first episode based on the usual average form submissions for email only versus multi-channel Episode 1. We credit this to multichannel and video combo.

In addition to supporting a prospecting campaign, the content also garnered significant and repeated engagement with current customers. The use of “reciprocal” content featuring an ungated video with gated follow-up content provided lead scoring and interest qualification opportunities for prioritized outreach.

To learn more about the Journey to Modern Marketing program details, as well as the lessons learned and the impact on our business, we invite you to join us, as well as marketers from Vidyard and Deltek during the webinar titled “Leveraging Data for Strategic Video Marketing” today, November 20 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.

If a tree happens to fall, remove it from your property right away. You can make good use of the branches as well as the trunk by turning them into wood for your fireplace. You can use it, sell it or just give it away. Don't just leave the stump there. A stump is not alive anymore, so it could be a magnet for termites.
